The tension between the The Money Team and the Lierbyen SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes The Money Team got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Sharma. Rune Ottosen made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Jo Kristoffersen sent off a good shot on target. After 11 played minutes Lierbyen SK got a freekick which was hit by Jo Kristoffersen. With a little luck, The Money Team's Rune Ottosen got control of the ball when Jo Kristoffersen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Money Team's Harald Løver got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16thth minute of the game Erik Øvereng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lierbyen SK's Mirian Gagnidze was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Erik Øvereng sped through Lierbyen SK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mirian Gagnidze. The audience was convinced that Erik Øvereng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mirian Gagnidze was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gjermund Bartnes got free with Rune Ottosen in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Linus Friestad took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Rune Ottosen to make any attempt to save it. Rune Ottosen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roar Hildrum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rune Ottosen made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Jo Kristoffersen sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gjermund Bartnes made a kick off. The Money Team's Rune Ottosen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roar Hildrum in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Harald Løver could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Mirian Gagnidze however easily saved by the left post. In the 64th minute Jo Kristoffersen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Ottosen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rune Ottosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roar Hildrum in the 65th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, The Money Team's goal looked a bit too open when Jo Kristoffersen came free, but Rune Ottosen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Øvereng during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, The Money Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Øvereng to maneuver through the defense. Jo Kristoffersen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harald Løver succeeded in the game's 76th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. In the 80th minute, Jo Kristoffersen made a precise shot to the right of Rune Ottosen. The Money Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Roar Hildrum managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lierbyen SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Roar Hildrum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Ottosen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jo Kristoffersen took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rune Ottosen. Rune Ottosen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. After having played for 90 minutes, Roar Hildrum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lierbyen SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roar Hildrum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roar Hildrum scored 4-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rune Ottosen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Lierbyen SK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
