Zosimo Valines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilen Valcarcel in the 27th minute of the match. Toño Guasch charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toño Guasch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Candon getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Toño Guasch hit a great ball. Poncio Barrientos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Zosimo Valines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Poncio Barrientos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Candon's zone, Poncio Barrientos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zosimo Valines came out of the goal and Poncio Barrientos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Patxi Valines dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Polo Aranzubia, 3-0. Zosimo Valines took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilen Valcarcel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute, Joseba Jorquera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
