The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marius Gyldenborg made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Daniel Ahrentecht sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Saxild FV's Moritz Bratsolt got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Ralf Esmark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Marius Gyldenborg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mogens Thure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Meltofte's protests and gave Mads Aavang a yellow card for diving instead. Ibrahim Brasch kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Egon Rensgaard in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Høstmark saved Meltofte from getting behind. Egon Rensgaard took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentin Høstmark. Valentin Høstmark dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Meltofte getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Denis Moreau hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes Meltofte got a freekick which was hit by Denis Moreau. Valentin Høstmark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egon Rensgaard in the 46th minute of play. Valentin Høstmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egon Rensgaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.
After 56 played minutes Meltofte got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Ahrentecht. The crowd rose to their feet as Saxild FV's Mogens Thure slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valentin Høstmark. That made the score 0-2 after 59 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Mogens Thure managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saxild FV's supporters rose to their feet, but Mogens Thure was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Høstmark breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute Ralf Esmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Gyldenborg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marius Gyldenborg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Esmark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Egon Rensgaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Moreau kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Meltofte got a freekick which was hit by Ibrahim Brasch. After recieving a nice pass, Saxild FV's Jasper Vejers tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Saxild FV getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Thorlejf Haugelund hit a great ball. Valentin Høstmark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egon Rensgaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mogens Thure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Saxild FV's Egon Rensgaard got a free kick in the 87th minute. Daniel Ahrentecht struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Marius Gyldenborg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meltofte. The Saxild FV players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
