Jan Fleszar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ante Breiter in the 10th minute of play. Dragoslav Birkwald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Justus Falke kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Bayern Leverkusen's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoslav Birkwald came free, but Tristan Freitag reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Krefft in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tristan Freitag prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan Fleszar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ante Breiter in the 29th minute of the match. Jason Gahl hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Dragoslav Birkwald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TSG Wilhelmshöhe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dragoslav Birkwald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jens Janssen struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Tristan Freitag didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TSG Wilhelmshöhe. Eric Motz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 44th minute, Jens Janssen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TSG Wilhelmshöhe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 68th match minute, TSG Wilhelmshöhe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Pix to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, TSG Wilhelmshöhe's Stefan Krefft ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tristan Freitag. Tristan Freitag yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Motz in the 85th minute of play forced TSG Wilhelmshöhe's goalkeeper Jan Fleszar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justus Falke charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justus Falke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tristan Freitag was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stefan Krefft showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 88 minute of play. Tristan Freitag was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Stefan Krefft capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stefan Krefft really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. The Bayern Leverkusen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. TSG Wilhelmshöhe were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
