With an all-out effort, FC Kusel's Volker Quoos threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sergej Maluga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 20 minutes into the match, KF Tirana 2.0's goalkeeper Volker Quoos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars Brüning. Volker Quoos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergej Maluga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Volker Quoos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergej Maluga in the 27th minute of play. Peter Nagel hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars Brüning got free with Volker Quoos in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xerxes Hauffen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gereon Junker in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frithjof Hasselbach in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Kusel's goalkeeper Xerxes Hauffen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, KF Tirana 2.0's goal looked a bit too open when Sergej Maluga came free, but Volker Quoos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, FC Kusel's Lars Brüning sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Volker Quoos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44th match minute, KF Tirana 2.0 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Nagel to maneuver through the defense. Siegfried Hug struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Volker Quoos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Kusel. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Sergej Maluga made the kick off in the second half. Volker Quoos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergej Maluga in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute Bastiaan Trube shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volker Quoos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Volker Quoos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Brüning in the 55th minute of play. Frieder Kleeblatt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Xerxes Hauffen. FC Kusel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Sergej Maluga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergej Maluga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sergej Maluga came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the FC Kusel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergej Maluga couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Gereon Junker managed to get in a good position for a shot. KF Tirana 2.0's supporters rose to their feet, but Gereon Junker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xerxes Hauffen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, FC Kusel's Joachim Reb got a free kick in the 91st minute. Xerxes Hauffen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gereon Junker in the 95th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Kusel's Xerxes Hauffen got control of the ball when Arno Gottwald tried to sneak it across the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
