The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peder Wy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Tim Füglister made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florent Franceschini in the 10th minute of play forced Lattenknaller's goalkeeper Timotheus Mahle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Unterengstringen AC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Till Hübscher hit a great ball. Peder Wy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Tim Füglister made a huge save. Tim Füglister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georges Giacomini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Florent Franceschini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Georges Giacomini in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Füglister saved Unterengstringen AC from getting behind. Tim Füglister showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georges Giacomini, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitus Hermann in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timotheus Mahle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peder Wy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Füglister having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florent Franceschini to strike the kick off in the second half. Tim Füglister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georges Giacomini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lattenknaller's supporters crossed their fingers, but Georges Giacomini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Peder Wy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Tim Füglister tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Boller during the 85th minute. After having played for 86 minutes, Peder Wy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 94th minute, Florent Franceschini reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Timotheus Mahle. The goal made the score 2-1. Peder Wy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Tim Füglister tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Lattenknaller players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
