Maurizio Restle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lucas Ottiger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franek Gabriel having to interfere. Nicola Rüttimann kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Scott Baum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Janning Jolidon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franek Gabriel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Franek Gabriel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janning Jolidon in the 31st minute of the match. Scott Baum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Scott Baum in the 39th minute of play forced FC Basel 1893's goalkeeper Franek Gabriel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Janning Jolidon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Franek Gabriel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurizio Restle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oswin Steurer went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Scott Baum stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fc Janisen's Scott Baum got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, FC Basel 1893's Franek Gabriel got control of the ball when Marco Sager tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marco Sager hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Fc Janisen's goal looked a bit too open when Niklaus Dubler came free, but Maurizio Restle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Basel 1893's Franek Gabriel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scott Baum in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Janning Jolidon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Fc Janisen's goal looked a bit too open when Niklaus Dubler came free, but Maurizio Restle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Janning Jolidons short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Franek Gabriel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Franziskus Wolf kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. FC Basel 1893's Franek Gabriel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save FC Basel 1893 from getting a goal against them. Franek Gabriel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scott Baum in the 91st minute of the match. Franziskus Wolf's late challenge caught a Fc Janisen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fc Janisen's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FC Basel 1893 had won, even though Fc Janisen had held more of the ball.
