After 10 minutes, Nick Carbonelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ultimate FC and the Liebistorf players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ultimate FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Nick Carbonelli hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Liebistorf's Thierry Sablone tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Liebistorf's Feliciano Ritter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Liebistorf from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, Liebistorf's Baptiste Berg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florian Moret narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Baptiste Berg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Florian Moret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baptiste Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Tittone in the 28th minute of play forced Ultimate FC's goalkeeper Florian Moret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kevin Verplanken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Moret having to interfere. Florian Moret made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baptiste Berg in the 34th minute of play. Miguel Koenig charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Koenig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Ultimate FC's zone, Kevin Verplanken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florian Moret came out of the goal and Kevin Verplanken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Baptiste Berg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liebistorf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Jonathan Rüdemann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ultimate FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Rüdemann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliciano Ritter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute Kevin Verplanken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Moret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florian Moret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baptiste Berg in the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baptiste Berg to strike the kick off in the second half. Kevin Verplanken's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Liebistorf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baptiste Berg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute, Ultimate FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kevin Verplanken fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Burkhard Lüscher during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ultimate FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! Thierry Sablone walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When Nick Carbonelli was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. Nick Carbonelli hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Thierry Sablone sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ultimate FC's Florian Moret didn't even have to move. Kevin Verplanken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florian Moret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Eglin, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Liebistorf's Jonas Neeser shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 89th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Florian Moret but with some difficulty. Feliciano Ritter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Rüdemann, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
