Spectators: 6934 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gugu Bebe kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Eschlikon's goalkeeper Gene Bragger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dolf Theiss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Manolito Frappier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Eschlikon's zone, Dominic Lieckfeldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gene Bragger came out of the goal and Dominic Lieckfeldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ralph Gloor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gene Bragger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Bernardo Netzer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gene Bragger having to interfere. Manolito Frappier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dolf Theiss went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ralph Gloor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gene Bragger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrew Charette charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrew Charette the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Eschlikon getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Dominic Lieckfeldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gene Bragger having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Dominic Lieckfeldt made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Interista Ecublano's Manolito Frappier got control of the ball when Dolf Theiss tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Anton Lachapelle fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Interista Ecublano's protests and gave Anton Lachapelle a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Interista Ecublano's Anton Lachapelle got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Gugu Bebe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Janos Reich hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Fritz Braun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Interista Ecublano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fritz Braun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frederic Flückiger's late challenge caught a Interista Ecublano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederic Flückiger helped the player get up and apologised. Dolf Theiss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Manolito Frappier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 played minutes FC Eschlikon got a freekick which was hit by Gugu Bebe. After 72 minutes, Clinton Steinemann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Eschlikon and the Interista Ecublano players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Interista Ecublano's Hieronymus Faoccia tried to score from far away in the 74th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gene Bragger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominic Lieckfeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 played minutes FC Eschlikon got a freekick which was hit by Dé Chef. FC Eschlikon's Dolf Theiss got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Interista Ecublano getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Hieronymus Faoccia hit a great ball. If Dolf Theiss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Eschlikon's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
