Ferrante Jeker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominic Lieckfeldt in the 18th minute of the match. FC Peniskopf's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Dominic Lieckfeldt scored to the left of an out of position Ferrante Jeker, making the score, 1-0. If Fremont Zinsli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the match, Interista Ecublano's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Oderholz came free, but Manolito Frappier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Interista Ecublano's Manolito Frappier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fremont Zinsli in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, FC Peniskopf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicola Sauber to maneuver through the defense. Fremont Zinsli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Manolito Frappier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marco Oderholz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Oderholz might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manolito Frappier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Oderholz ran back to his position shaking his head. Fremont Zinsli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manolito Frappier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dominic Lieckfeldt made a kick off. Bernardo Netzer kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Interista Ecublano's zone, Fremont Zinsli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manolito Frappier came out of the goal and Fremont Zinsli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Peniskopf's Marco Oderholz got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Interista Ecublano's zone, Fremont Zinsli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manolito Frappier came out of the goal and Fremont Zinsli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, FC Peniskopf's Marco Oderholz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manolito Frappier. Manolito Frappier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Fremont Zinsli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Manolito Frappier made a huge save. Fremont Zinsli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolito Frappier having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Interista Ecublano's goalkeeper Manolito Frappier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fremont Zinsli. In the 75th minute, Interista Ecublano's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marco Oderholz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Interista Ecublano's zone, Anatol Sommer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manolito Frappier came out of the goal and Anatol Sommer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manolito Frappier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicola Sauber in the 85th minute of play. With his leg Manolito Frappier managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when FC Peniskopf's Fremont Zinsli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Interista Ecublano defense, Fremont Zinsli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manolito Frappier. The Interista Ecublano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manolito Frappier should have stopped the shot. When the match was over FC Peniskopf could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Interista Ecublano throughout the match.
