Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alfonso De Grandis took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Rodrique Luft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 3 minutes into the match, Vionnaz's goal looked a bit too open when Bairee McGlenn came free, but Colin Lingg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th match minute, Vionnaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandy Beck to maneuver through the defense. If Alonzo Vermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Brendan Büeler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yvan Cicchetti was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Alonzo Vermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reiner Seitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Colin Lingg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colin Lingg didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cuba Libre Basel's Alfonso De Grandis shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vionnaz's goalkeeper Colin Lingg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 20 minutes of play, Cuba Libre Basel's Bairee McGlenn made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Colin Lingg was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 25 played minutes Cuba Libre Basel got a freekick which was hit by Reiner Seitz. The crowd rose to their feet as Vionnaz's Claude Emhardt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yvan Cicchetti. That made the score 2-2 after 26 minutes of play. Yvan Cicchetti acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Benoit Oberhauser. After a rather tough play, Vionnaz's Benoit Oberhauser got a free kick in the 30th minute. Colin Lingg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bairee McGlenn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Vionnaz's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Vermudo came free, but Colin Lingg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso De Grandis in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Colin Lingg saved Vionnaz from getting behind. In the 39th minute Alfonso De Grandis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colin Lingg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso De Grandis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claude Emhardt was the one to do the kick off. Yvan Cicchetti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claude Emhardt went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Colin Lingg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bairee McGlenn in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Vionnaz's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alonzo Vermudo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Reiner Seitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Bairee McGlenn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Colin Lingg. That made the score 3-3 in the 61 minute of play. The supporters of Vionnaz booed when Cuba Libre Basel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moreta Ribas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vionnaz's Charlie Bühlmann couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cuba Libre Basel. In the 68th minute Alfonso De Grandis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colin Lingg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benoit Oberhauser hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Reiner Seitz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Colin Lingg came out and tried to block the shot, but Reiner Seitz slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 74th minute. If Cedric Faieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Vionnaz's zone, Bairee McGlenn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Colin Lingg came out of the goal and Bairee McGlenn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Vionnaz's Maurizio Kost got a free kick in the 87th minute. Bairee McGlenn struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Colin Lingg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuba Libre Basel. Colin Lingg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alonzo Vermudo went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. The Vionnaz fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cuba Libre Basel were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
