After a rather tough play, RSC Lichtelaar's Andrez Klijnhens got a free kick in the 19th minute. With a little luck, R Antwerp FC's Thys Van Espen got control of the ball when Emile Vandenbosch tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute, Silver Vaarmets got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Evert-Jan Petermans got free with Dave Goons in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over R Antwerp FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than RSC Lichtelaar throughout the match.
