Heusy's Charles-Louis Abrams played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jammy Colebinders in the 29th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Beervelde's Kim Van der Veken nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charles-Louis Abrams made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Heusy getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Lars Van Goitsenhoven hit a great ball. After 40 minutes, Kim Van der Veken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beervelde and the Heusy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Heusy booed when Beervelde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kim Van der Veken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles-Louis Abrams made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Van der Veken in the 43rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Lars Van Goitsenhoven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heusy's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Van Goitsenhoven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glen Aerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Charles-Louis Abrams showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jammy Colebinders in the 56th minute of the match. Wes Samyn hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Heusy's Jan-Simon Candries got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Wesley Van Eijcke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Patrick Verhulst fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Charles-Louis Abrams, passed just outside the right post. In the 89th minute, Jammy Colebinders got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Beervelde's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
