Heusy's Charles-Louis Abrams played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yannis Kortens in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lars Van Goitsenhoven to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Lars Van Goitsenhoven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Artem Krohmal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Charles-Louis Abrams when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dries De Metser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th play minute Yannis Kortens came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Charles-Louis Abrams. 1-3. Charles-Louis Abrams made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Yannis Kortens sent off a good shot on target. If Artem Krohmal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steve Van Der Straeten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Van Goitsenhoven in the 97th minute of the match. Sporting Zaffelare's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
