Ionuț Podgoreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Teodoroiu having to interfere. 4 minutes into the game, Basarab Hârțan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lilieci's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sitani the free kick. Ion Teodoroiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Răchiteanu in the 5th minute of the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Lilieci's goalkeeper Ion Teodoroiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ion Teodoroiu came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Sitani's Constantin Răchiteanu. But to his dismay, Constantin Răchiteanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 19 minutes of play, Sitani's Constantin Răchiteanu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ion Teodoroiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ionuț Podgoreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gică Bogdan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Mihail Ogică made a huge save. FC Lilieci's Ion Teodoroiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantin Răchiteanu in the 29th minute of play. Ionuț Podgoreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Teodoroiu having to interfere. When Constantin Răchiteanu came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Sitani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantin Răchiteanu couldn't finish the play. After 37 minutes, Tudor Mazilu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sitani and the FC Lilieci players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sitani getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Tudor Mazilu hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the game, Lucrețiu Brădescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sitani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lilieci the free kick. In the 40th match minute, Sitani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucrețiu Brădescu to maneuver through the defense. Ion Teodoroiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Constantin Răchiteanu's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. If Mihail Albu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Constantin Răchiteanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ion Teodoroiu was relentless in the 48th minute of the game.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Constantin Răchiteanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Mihail Ogică showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gică Bogdan in the 57th minute of the match. Sitani's Constantin Răchiteanu got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gică Bogdan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Ogică having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, FC Lilieci's goalkeeper Ion Teodoroiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionuț Podgoreanu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Costin Stăniloaie during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Costin Stăniloaie hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Lilieci's goalkeeper Ion Teodoroiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Ionuț Podgoreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sitani's supporters rose to their feet, but Ionuț Podgoreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ion Teodoroiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Sitani's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Hârțan came free, but Mihail Ogică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucrețiu Brădescu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 86 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the game, one of Sitani:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mihail Ogică didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aristide Costescu went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Ion Teodoroiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihail Albu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Constantin Răchiteanu kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. When FC Lilieci's Stelian Bădiță in the 99th minute got a chance for a shot 99th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sitani's goalie prevented a goal. Sitani were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
