The tension between the FC Național București and the Ciuari players grew even worse after the yellow card. Liviu Horațiu hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Călin Berechet was the one to do the kick off. Iacob Lupoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihnea Zmărăndache in the 53rd minute. After having played for 54 minutes, Ovidiu Mihu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciuari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovidiu Mihu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Traian Albulescu couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Traian Albulescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iacob Lupoi was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Ciuari left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Național București.
