Spinul CSM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Mădălin Stoica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Turcescu having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Spinul CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Dragalina to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Mădălin Stoica ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horia Turcescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Mădălin Stoica in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Horia Turcescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of FC Viitorul Rapid booed when Spinul CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manole Pistol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cătălin Tobă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horia Turcescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Felix Dragalina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Filip Rebengiuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Felix Dragalina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Rebengiuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

With 71 minutes on the clock, Cătălin Tobă commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The goalkeeper, Filip Rebengiuc, was totally fooled by Spinul CSM's Felix Dragalina, who 73 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Filip Rebengiuc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Dragalina in the 87th minute. Calistrat Popilean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Calistrat Popilean notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Spinul CSM's Horia Turcescu. Horia Turcescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Spinul CSM's Horia Turcescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calistrat Popilean in the 98th minute of play.
