Eusebiu Grozuță's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nichifor Trişcu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Dropia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Marin Vulturar scored to the left of an out of position Bogdan Jumancă, making the score, 2-2. In the 45th minute, Gavril Braniște hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marin Vulturar to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Dropia's Șerban Alexandru ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nichifor Trişcu. Nichifor Trişcu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Nichifor Trişcu was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Șerban Alexandru capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Șerban Alexandru really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. With an all-out effort, Dropia's Nichifor Trişcu threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Șerban Alexandru, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Marin Vulturar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusebiu Grozuță could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Nichifor Trişcu made a huge save. Nichifor Trişcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Șerban Alexandru in the 80th minute of play. In the 85th play minute Eusebiu Grozuță came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nichifor Trişcu. 2-6. In the 89th minute, Șerban Alexandru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nichifor Trişcu. Eusebiu Grozuță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The - Primejdia Alba Iulia - fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dropia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
