The throw-in from Mihăiţă Mazilu in the 30th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Phoenix Seini -MM-'s Ovidiu Hâldan. Victor Cioroianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isac Bălanescu in the 33rd minute of play. Victor Cioroianu made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Isac Bălanescu sent off a good shot on target. If Petrică Becheanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petrică Becheanu made a kick off. Victor Cioroianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidiu Orădan in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fc BrAsOv's Narcis Todoran got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 86th minute Ovidiu Orădan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Cioroianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pompiliu Zbârnea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Becheanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petrică Becheanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pompiliu Zbârnea having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Fc BrAsOv's goal looked a bit too open when Isac Bălanescu came free, but Victor Cioroianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Nistor Ceaușu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Phoenix Seini -MM-'s Pompiliu Zbârnea. Pompiliu Zbârnea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
