Silviu Teodoroiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Edgar Dejeu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Dorel Burca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silviu Teodoroiu struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Edgar Dejeu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. In the 37th minute Dumitru Bădila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Oravițan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogdan Codruț kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Mugur Gligor in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gelu Oravițan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Dumitru Bădila kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gelu Oravițan. That made the score 1-1 in the 44 minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, FC BIHOR ORADEA's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Teaşcă came free, but Edgar Dejeu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dumitru Bădila was the one to do the kick off. Silviu Teodoroiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mugur Gligor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silviu Berceanu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the game, Dorel Burca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. STEAUA KYB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC BIHOR ORADEA the free kick. After a rather tough play, STEAUA KYB's Dorel Burca got a free kick in the 71st minute. Denis Feraru shot a long shot in the 72nd minute and a light blocked Gelu Oravițan hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 2-1. A collision led to STEAUA KYB getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Vlad Opaina hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mugur Gligor in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gelu Oravițan saved STEAUA KYB from getting behind. 80 minutes into the game, FC BIHOR ORADEA's Dumitru Bădila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gelu Oravițan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 90th minute FC BIHOR ORADEA were awarded a corner. Denis Feraru went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Denis Feraru almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but STEAUA KYB's Gelu Oravițan did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Bădila in the 95th minute of play forced STEAUA KYB's goalkeeper Gelu Oravițan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
