Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Atıf Kırgız in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Venancio Demario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC United's Seyhun Yazıcı got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, FC United's goalkeeper Cumali Temizkanoğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jordi Winnepennincx. A collision led to Lazavati getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Enginalp Suavi hit a great ball. Atıf Kırgız fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Demario having to interfere. FC United's Selmi Suni was substituted for Bircan Akkın. A collision led to Lazavati getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jordi Winnepennincx hit a great ball. Gökçek Türkcan kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Lazavati's goal looked a bit too open when Seyhun Yazıcı came free, but Venancio Demario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atıf Kırgız sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venancio Demario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seyhun Yazıcı in the 38th minute of the match. Seyhun Yazıcı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Venancio Demario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Cumali Temizkanoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İhsan Orkutay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC United's Cumali Temizkanoğlu got control of the ball when Jordi Winnepennincx tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atıf Kırgız to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, FC United's goal looked a bit too open when İhsan Orkutay came free, but Cumali Temizkanoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC United's zone, Enginalp Suavi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cumali Temizkanoğlu came out of the goal and Enginalp Suavi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC United's Cumali Temizkanoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seyfullah Doğa in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute of the match, Atıf Kırgız got a very nice opportunity to score, but Venancio Demario was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Lazavati's zone, Seyhun Yazıcı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Venancio Demario came out of the goal and Seyhun Yazıcı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Selmi Suni's late challenge caught a Lazavati's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Selmi Suni helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lazavati booed when FC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selmi Suni didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Seyfullah Doğa in the 80th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Cumali Temizkanoğlu's left hand side. 81 minutes into the game, İhsan Orkutay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Cumali Temizkanoğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of FC United booed when Lazavati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enginalp Suavi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Atıf Kırgız had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lazavati's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
