When Rostislav Evseev fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novosibirsk's protests and gave Rostislav Evseev a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Novosibirsk getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Rostislav Evseev hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vadim Eremin was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 91 minutes, Arkadiy Sobolev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Longonvaara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arkadiy Sobolev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Novosibirsk's Gerasim Nevzorov got a free kick in the 96th minute.
