Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brice Giddey made the kick off and thus started the match. When Craig Mccormick came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Wurruk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Craig Mccormick couldn't finish the play. After 8 minutes of play, Wurruk's Nero Quinn made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niles Lingwoodock was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Toogoong's zone, Craig Mccormick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niles Lingwoodock came out of the goal and Craig Mccormick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doyle Morse kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Curtis Algoud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Drake Moon made a huge save. The supporters of Toogoong booed when Wurruk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nero Quinn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wurruk were furious when Bray Sperling was red carded, 23 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wurruk fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! In the 27th minute, Nero Quinn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute of the match Belton Cudmore sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Drake Moon skillfully saved the ball. Brice Giddey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Drake Moon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Curtis Algoud notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Wurruk's Drake Moon. Drake Moon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bent Worrall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niles Lingwoodock having to interfere. If Bent Worrall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niles Lingwoodock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bent Worrall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Bent Worrall made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Wurruk got a freekick which was hit by Karl Freeman. Tony Wilde hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Wurruk's zone, Belton Cudmore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drake Moon came out of the goal and Belton Cudmore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 59 minutes of play, Toogoong's Clark Carr made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Drake Moon was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the match, Wurruk's goal looked a bit too open when Curtis Algoud came free, but Drake Moon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doyle Morse kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 67th match minute, Wurruk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doyle Morse to maneuver through the defense. Brice Giddey took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Drake Moon. Drake Moon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Clark Carr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clark Carr charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clark Carr the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Clark Carr hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 74th match minute, Wurruk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stewart Mclatchey to maneuver through the defense. Drake Moon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brice Giddey in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bent Worrall in the 89th minute of play forced Toogoong's goalkeeper Niles Lingwoodock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bent Worrall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niles Lingwoodock having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Toogoong had won after a very even match.
