After a defensive mix-up in Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s zone, Florencio Villegas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicasio Abad came out of the goal and Florencio Villegas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Peter Blomkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Villegas was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Severo Tohias put in a rough tackle. In the 11th minute, one of Cavaliers FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cavaliers FC. The goalkeeper, Cornelio Villegas, was totally fooled by Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Peter Blomkvist, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Berkan Tufan got a throw-in 15 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Joel Enekoitz. In the 16th minute, Peter Blomkvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cornelio Villegas. The goal made the score 2-0. When Peter Blomkvist came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Blomkvist couldn't finish the play. Peter Blomkvist succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 31st playminute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florencio Villegas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cavaliers FC's Efrain Villegas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Berkan Tufan in the 51 minute of the game. In the 52nd minute Joel Enekoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Villegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Enekoitz took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cornelio Villegas. Cornelio Villegas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Peter Blomkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornelio Villegas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Peter Blomkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornelio Villegas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Blomkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. Cornelio Villegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Blomkvist in the 59th minute of the match. Joel Enekoitz struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Cornelio Villegas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥. Cavaliers FC made a substitution. Desiderio Rami replaced Florencio Villegas. Nicasio Abad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Arano in the 64th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Peter Blomkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Villegas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Arano came free, but Nicasio Abad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Enzo Elizardo was substituted for Fernandinho Rivera. After 77 minutes Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ambrosio Iratxo who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Cavaliers FC's corner Ambrosio Iratxo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nicasio Abad quite easily take care of the ball. Nicasio Abad made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Jeremias Sandalio sent off a good shot on target. Baldomero Ilazki scored 5-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornelio Villegas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ made a substitution. Kosmas Banasopoulos replaced Joel Enekoitz. 91 minutes into the game, Baldomero Ilazki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Cornelio Villegas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
