Aílton Fernandez came out of the goal and Vicente Valladares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Sousa in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Agro Imortal's Luís Romero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reko Nybacka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Romero got free with Reko Nybacka in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Tristan Lenaerts got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 46 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Soares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Aílton Fernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Sousa to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Romero came free, but Reko Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aílton Fernandez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmir Pombal in the 57th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jere Mitovski in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reko Nybacka saved Catugi FC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Jere Mitovski put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Reko Nybacka. Aílton Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Soares in the 80th minute of play. Agro Imortal's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fábio Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reko Nybacka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agro Imortal's Aílton Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Pombal in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Lisa Vara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Soares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aílton Fernandez. Carlos Alberto Soares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-2. Reko Nybacka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Pereira in the 96th minute of the match. Agro Imortal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
