An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Camus in the 21st minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Aaron Smallwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Social Anarquia F.C.'s Erivaldo Catarinense got control of the ball when Arturo Turner tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Lanny Gilmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lanny Gilmore was the one to do the kick off. The throw-in from Vágner Aparecido in the 52nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Santos FC's Terence Nicholas. In the 53rdth minute of the game Lanny Gilmore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Social Anarquia F.C.'s Erivaldo Catarinense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Titus Kohler hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Santos FC's Titus Kohler quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Friedrich Engels, made in the 60th minute of the game. 64 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Camus came free, but Aaron Smallwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doğa Yurday got a throw-in 69 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ramiro Valle. Arturo Turner scored 1-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erivaldo Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Santos FC's Tyron Velasquez was substituted for Arturo Turner. Social Anarquia F.C. were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Santos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vágner Aparecido took the corner. If Tyron Velasquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Social Anarquia F.C. booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominic Albright didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Santos FC were the better team. Santos FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
