The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geovanni Faria showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Mochila FC's Eurico Mangueira got control of the ball when Diguinho de Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of C o n f i a n ç a - SE booed when Mochila FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cacá Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eurico Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
