Stars Academy's Abílio Barata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Costa in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Garcez in the 20th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Abílio Barata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Garanhão do SUL fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Garanhão do SUL's Edgar Costa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 24 minutes into the game, Afonso Anjos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stars Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garanhão do SUL the free kick. After 24 played minutes Stars Academy got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Anjos. Amado Vigário succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. A collision led to Stars Academy getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Raul Faria hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Viana in the 30th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Abílio Barata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abílio Barata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Vigário, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 38th minute, Márcio Leiria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Garanhão do SUL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgar Costa to make the kick off. Amado Vigário showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Márcio Leiria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Abílio Barata made a huge save. Abílio Barata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Vigário in the 64th minute of the match. Danilo Onofre might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alex Frasca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danilo Onofre ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgar Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abílio Barata having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Afonso Anjos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Frasca was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. If Edgar Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 minutes, Afonso Anjos made it 1-8 with a short kick to the right side. Garanhão do SUL's Alex Frasca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Stars Academy's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Edgar Costa 88 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-9.
