Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Jim Mitchell started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some careless play in the Café DE PLOEG defense, Jim Mitchell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carel Van de Schrieck. The Café DE PLOEG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carel Van de Schrieck should have stopped the shot. Jim Mitchell came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Carel Van de Schrieck could save by the left post. Christopher Love came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Café DE PLOEG's Romain Mesmakers. But to his dismay, Romain Mesmakers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Michael Dalton took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Carel Van de Schrieck to make any attempt to save it. Café DE PLOEG's Carel Van de Schrieck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Café DE PLOEG from getting a goal against them. Margaret Atwood Impact were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Café DE PLOEG's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jim Mitchell took the corner. The corner led Margaret Atwood Impact's Timothy Watson to fire away a dangerous shot which Carel Van de Schrieck despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Margaret Atwood Impact booed when Café DE PLOEG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Benavides didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute of the match, Jim Mitchell sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Carel Van de Schrieck showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Carel Van de Schrieck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hylton Brookes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romain Mesmakers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christopher Love having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romain Mesmakers in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christopher Love saved Margaret Atwood Impact from getting behind. Jim Mitchell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Carel Van de Schrieck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Jim Mitchell took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Carel Van de Schrieck to make any attempt to save it. In the 36th minute, Michael Dalton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carel Van de Schrieck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jim Mitchell in the 37th minute. Christopher Love made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romain Mesmakers in the 38th minute of play. Café DE PLOEG's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bert Windelinckx in the 40th minute. Christopher Love showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romain Mesmakers, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Brian Verhaghen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Margaret Atwood Impact's Jim Mitchell got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romain Mesmakers to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Café DE PLOEG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bert Windelinckx to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Jim Mitchell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romain Mesmakers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Jim Mitchell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carel Van de Schrieck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carel Van de Schrieck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathew Gunter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bert Windelinckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Christopher Love tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 77 minutes, Ludwig Kloots managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Café DE PLOEG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludwig Kloots was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Café DE PLOEG made a substitution. Charles Teuma Castelletti replaced Romain Mesmakers. If Charles Teuma Castelletti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
