A throw-in in the 11th minute of the game was made by Ragnar Lemmik with Alo Ülipikk as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a defensive mix-up in MZ Fénix's zone, Alo Ülipikk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolás Tauber came out of the goal and Alo Ülipikk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paavo Lutsar charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paavo Lutsar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wawrzyniec Niedziela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Viegas in the 22nd minute of play. In the 28th minute Ivan Nyberg managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Ivan Nyberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. MZ Fénix's Adalberto Viegas got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Grimório's Kajar Püss got a free kick in the 46th minute. MZ Fénix's Ivan Nyberg got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Wawrzyniec Niedziela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Izaguirre in the 52nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tõnis Kaldvee during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes Grimório got a freekick which was hit by Tõnis Kaldvee. Adalberto Viegas might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wawrzyniec Niedziela. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adalberto Viegas ran back to his position shaking his head. 56 minutes into the match, Grimório's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Viegas came free, but Wawrzyniec Niedziela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 played minutes Grimório got a freekick which was hit by Paavo Lutsar. Ivan Nyberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wawrzyniec Niedziela having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Grimório's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Viegas came free, but Wawrzyniec Niedziela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Lüüs made in the 64th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Alo Ülipikk immediately put the ball in play. The audience was convinced that Adalberto Viegas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wawrzyniec Niedziela was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 68th minute Adalberto Viegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wawrzyniec Niedziela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, MZ Fénix's Adalberto Viegas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wawrzyniec Niedziela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Grimório's Jack Walroth was substituted for Alo Ülipikk. Grimório's 刘海景 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Adalberto Viegas, made in the 77th minute of the game. If Ragnar Lemmik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Cai Yuan Yuan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MZ Fénix fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. MZ Fénix walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
