Dráuzio Alagoano helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to GRÊMIO getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Dráuzio Alagoano hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by 史挺南 in the 11th minute of play forced Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goalkeeper Brian Lambert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 played minutes GRÊMIO got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Capitão. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GRÊMIO the free kick. Elói Alagoano hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Brian Lambert made an important save on a dangerous shot by 史挺南 in the 19th minute. Brian Lambert made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when 史挺南 sent off a good shot on target. GRÊMIO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roger Machado in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abel Pirani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brian Lambert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Lázaro Mincho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billy Booth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lázaro Mincho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Ross in the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Fontes in the 43rd minute of play forced Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goalkeeper Brian Lambert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind GRÊMIO's goalkeeper Lázaro Mincho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Billy Booth to strike the kick off in the second half. 史挺南 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Lambert having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by 史挺南 in the 55th minute of play forced Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goalkeeper Brian Lambert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brian Lambert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68 minutes Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roger Machado who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of GRÊMIO booed when Lisburn Distillery F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Crouch didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when 史挺南 came free, but Brian Lambert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
