Fernando Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Emerson Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emerson Vieira came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Fructuoso's Pedro Luís Mazza. But to his dismay, Pedro Luís Mazza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the QUEIMADENSEFC defense, Fernando Guedes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emerson Vieira. The QUEIMADENSEFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emerson Vieira should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the game, Fernando Guedes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Emerson Vieira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emerson Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Mazza in the 37th minute of play. Pedro Luís Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Vieira having to interfere. Luisinho Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Emerson Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emerson Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Mazza in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evandro Faria was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Guedes in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emerson Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 53rd minute of the match Horácio Britto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emerson Vieira skillfully saved the ball. Emerson Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Guedes in the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Carlos Fernando Cardozo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. QUEIMADENSEFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fructuoso the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Fernando Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fructuoso's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Luís Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Luís Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. QUEIMADENSEFC's Emerson Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Guedes in the 87th minute of play. Edmundo Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vitinho Freire hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in QUEIMADENSEFC's zone, Fernando Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson Vieira came out of the goal and Fernando Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 92nd minute of the match Carlos Fernando Cardozo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Carlos Fernando Cardozo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Pedro Luís Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Vieira having to interfere. The QUEIMADENSEFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fructuoso were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
