With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovanni Furlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valdir Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Benedicto Sayvion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Geovanni Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Edelmiro Honesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedicto Sayvion couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecus Futebol Clube's zone, Edelmiro Honesto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovanni Furlan came out of the goal and Edelmiro Honesto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Baliza AD's Benedicto Sayvion sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geovanni Furlan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aírton Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erivaldo Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedicto Sayvion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Benedicto Sayvion ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovanni Furlan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After having played for 79 minutes, Benedicto Sayvion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baliza AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedicto Sayvion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Artur Saldanha fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecus Futebol Clube's protests and gave Artur Saldanha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Benedicto Sayvion reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Geovanni Furlan. The goal made the score 0-4. Baliza AD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
