When Joélson Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sucuarana Futebol Clube's protests and gave Joélson Cosme a yellow card for diving instead. 78 minutes into the game, one of Sucuarana Futebol Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Daniel Costa came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the C.R.Flamengo fans jumped to their feet. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maurinho Proença showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior de Brito in the 93rd minute of play forced C.R.Flamengo's goalkeeper Kauan Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Virgílio Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zé Roberto Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Roberto Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 97 minutes into the match, C.R.Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior de Brito came free, but Kauan Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Many of C.R.Flamengo's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. C.R.Flamengo may have spent more time on the ball, but Sucuarana Futebol Clube were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
