Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rony Passos got the match started through his kick off. After 4 minutes, Alfredo Netto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Apolinario EC and the Tartarem players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Apolinario EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! Danilo Nunes had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Ivo Hoffmann's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zacarias Bueno in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danilo Nunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 10 in the game by Dito Pitta from a close distance when the talented Danilo Nunes managed to make a qualified save. Apolinario EC's players were relieved. Zacarias Bueno was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 11th minute. Tartarem's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zacarias Bueno in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danilo Nunes saved Apolinario EC from getting behind. After 17 minutes, Marcelinho Pena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tartarem and the Apolinario EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tartarem's Marcelinho Pena got a free kick in the 17th minute. Ivo Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivo Hoffmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Apolinario EC a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Felipe Paranaense, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tartarem's Giuseppe Saldanha. 0-1. Tartarem's Giuseppe Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Passos in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Apolinario EC booed when Tartarem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute of the match, Zacarias Bueno tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Danilo Nunes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Raí Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Apolinario EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raí Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Tartarem got a freekick which was hit by Raí Rodrigues. If Hamílton Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Tartarem defense, Rony Passos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giuseppe Saldanha. The Tartarem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giuseppe Saldanha should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute, Zacarias Bueno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Nunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The wind increased when Zacarias Bueno made the kick off in the second half. Rony Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Tartarem's goalkeeper Giuseppe Saldanha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hamílton Alvarenga. Apolinario EC's Danilo Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zacarias Bueno in the 64th minute of play. Christian da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Hugo Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Dito Pitta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tartarem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Apolinario EC the free kick. Danilo Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dito Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dito Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Apolinario EC's Cacá de Senna got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Apolinario EC's goalkeeper Danilo Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 2-2 became the score in the 90th minute when Zacarias Bueno elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Dito Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Nunes having to interfere. If Zacarias Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
