Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fedele Zisser made the kick off which started today's match. When Diego Fagnani fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored James Joyce Academy's protests and gave Diego Fagnani a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, Formigine's Federico Romino threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Corrado Barducci, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 4 minutes, Alfredo Candeloro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the James Joyce Academy and the Formigine players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, James Joyce Academy's Alfredo Candeloro got a free kick in the 4th minute. Ermanno Del Gatto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Federico Romino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fedele Zisser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fedele Zisser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arrigo De Zorzi having to interfere. With a little luck, James Joyce Academy's Federico Romino got control of the ball when Ermanno Del Gatto tried to sneak it across the goal line. With 26 minutes on the clock, Alfredo Candeloro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in James Joyce Academy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 28 minutes, Formigine's Corrado Barducci got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Federico Romino. Ermanno Del Gatto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33 played minutes James Joyce Academy got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Zisser. After a rather tough play, Formigine's Alvise Leone got a free kick in the 37th minute. The supporters of Formigine booed when James Joyce Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Fagnani didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fortunato Zinni to make the kick off. If Camillo Cannone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Davide Morini came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the James Joyce Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davide Morini couldn't finish the play. Camillo Cannone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arrigo De Zorzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Ermanno Del Gatto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Romino having to interfere. A collision led to Formigine getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Dario Morelli hit a great ball. Arrigo De Zorzi came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by James Joyce Academy's Camillo Cannone. But to his dismay, Camillo Cannone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Alberigo Rotondi kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 97th match minute, Formigine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fortunato Zinni to maneuver through the defense. The James Joyce Academy players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Formigine from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
