Gualterio Tavio had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Erubiel Pacorro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Bigode Grosso's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio de Senna came free, but Gualterio Tavio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erubiel Pacorro had several of the Bigode Grosso's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 47 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Gualterio Tavio as he didn't even see the shot coming. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erubiel Pacorro made a kick off.
