After 9 minutes of play, U21 Brazil's Siddhartha Cabeza made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guto Nogueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guto Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siddhartha Cabeza in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siddhartha Cabeza in the 16th minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Guto Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Siddhartha Cabeza came free, but Guto Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TAQUARI FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Siddhartha Cabeza scored to the left of an out of position Guto Nogueira, making the score, 3-0. Siddhartha Cabeza did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Guto Nogueira 39 minutes into the match. Siddhartha Cabeza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guto Nogueira came out and tried to block the shot, but Siddhartha Cabeza slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

50 minutes into the game, Zézinho Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TAQUARI FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Brazil the free kick. Zézinho Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Guto Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siddhartha Cabeza, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guto Nogueira. Guto Nogueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. TAQUARI FC made a substitution. Nico Fernandes replaced Luisão Arantes. Siddhartha Cabeza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guto Nogueira having to make a save. Angelo Peruzzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Fabiano Clemente in the 82nd minute. Paolo Maldini made in the 86th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri immediately put the ball in play. 92 minutes into the match, U21 Brazil's Bernardo Sharkin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guto Nogueira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Siddhartha Cabeza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guto Nogueira. TAQUARI FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Siddhartha Cabeza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. There was no doubt that U21 Brazil were the better team. U21 Brazil's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
