Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Behrami started the match with the kick off. After 8 played minutes U21 Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Karsten Lund. Baron Van de Goor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Skënder Kotomelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. U21 Denmark's Kim Barvid got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vagn Kildebro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markel Laraku having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, U21 Albania's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Barvid came free, but Markel Laraku reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Denmark's Baron Van de Goor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Skënder Kotomelo in the 25th minute of play. Markel Laraku was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kim Barvid showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. Markel Laraku didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vagn Kildebro went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vagn Kildebro in the 40th minute of play forced U21 Albania's goalkeeper Markel Laraku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Markel Laraku made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kim Barvid in the 43rd minute. After 44 minutes, Freddie Stavngaard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Denmark and the U21 Albania players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes U21 Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Freddie Stavngaard. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
U21 Denmark made a substitution. Unndór Takeris replaced Vagn Kildebro. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Unndór Takeris to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Kim Barvid notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of U21 Albania's Markel Laraku. Markel Laraku was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Markel Laraku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Unndór Takeris in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, U21 Denmark's Unndór Takeris nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Markel Laraku made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. When Karsten Lund came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the U21 Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karsten Lund couldn't finish the play. Baron Van de Goor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xhevat Qeraxhiu in the 69th minute. In the 74th minute of the match U21 Denmark got a corner. U21 Albania's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Freddie Stavngaard ran over to the corner to take the kick. Freddie Stavngaard made a great header on U21 Denmark's corner, it was just that U21 Albania's Markel Laraku managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 75th match minute, U21 Albania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xhevat Qeraxhiu to maneuver through the defense. U21 Albania's Markel Laraku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Unndór Takeris in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the U21 Albania defense, Unndór Takeris kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Markel Laraku. The U21 Albania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Markel Laraku should have stopped the shot. Markel Laraku showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Unndór Takeris, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 82 minutes of play, U21 Denmark's Kim Barvid made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Markel Laraku was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, U21 Albania's Shkëlzen Ibrahimi got a free kick in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, U21 Denmark's goalkeeper Baron Van de Goor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xhevat Qeraxhiu. U21 Albania's Markel Laraku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Unndór Takeris in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute Kim Barvid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markel Laraku saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the U21 Denmark players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
