If Valdemar Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 9th minute Sandrinho Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arí de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CR Trovão Azul's Sandrinho Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. VERONA FC's Arí de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandrinho Aguiar in the 13th minute of play. Sandrinho Aguiar scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arí de Sena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th minute, Jorginho Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandrinho Aguiar in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arí de Sena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sandrinho Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 38 minutes, Sandrinho Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CR Trovão Azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandrinho Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulysses Sarmento struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Betão Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VERONA FC. Teodoro Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arí de Sena having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sandrinho Aguiar to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, CR Trovão Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Ulysses Sarmento came free, but Betão Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandrinho Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Arí de Sena made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in CR Trovão Azul fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! VERONA FC's Arí de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fabiano de Amaral in the 65th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, VERONA FC's goalkeeper Arí de Sena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandrinho Aguiar. Arí de Sena was a little too slow when Luiz Fabiano de Amaral got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-6. Sandrinho Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Arí de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 90 in the game by Sandrinho Aguiar from a close distance when the talented Arí de Sena managed to make a qualified save. VERONA FC's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandrinho Aguiar got free with Arí de Sena in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
