After 7 played minutes SEQUA FC got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Brás. After 9 minutes of play, Soito's Óscar Sanches made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. SEQUA FC's Jorge Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Ricardo Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Soito's goalkeeper Moisés Ribas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Barros. A collision led to Soito getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Duarte Nóbrega hit a great ball. Duarte Nóbrega's late challenge caught a SEQUA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duarte Nóbrega helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Hugo Barros took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Moisés Ribas to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Soito's zone, Ricardo Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moisés Ribas came out of the goal and Ricardo Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SEQUA FC's Alexandre Guerreiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Matias in the 42nd minute of play. Eusébio Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Moisés Ribas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Óscar Sanches stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Sanches in the 55th minute of play forced SEQUA FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Moisés Ribas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Despite being the better team, SEQUA FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
