Re: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

The players without clue should be from the first 10 in order to have 4 digit number
or maybe the digits should be add for example 13 will be 4 and the order of the number should be the order of the players in the list
The code can be 7 1+3 1+5 1+6

Re: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Badge image
Because the china is the biggest community from Asia in manager zone I would go with a city from there. Maybe hongkong or beijing.

Ant: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Smoggy Hills, maybe Hollywood in Los Angeles.

Sv: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

I think we should take each player and sort our guesses that way, instead of sorting by cities.

1. O. M. G. DaRush
Oh my god, the rush!! Not Ian Rush as I'm pretty sure the european city is Manchester :) Probably a city known for a hectic rush hour or traffic.
Hongkong, Tokyo etc

2. Robby The Rancher
Sounds like a clue for the american one. Robert "Bobby" Ewing lived on Southfork ranch in the Dallas area.

3. Twofold Tucker
Something doubled up. Twin towers? Fold the sheet twice when tucking your bed sheet?

4. Diego Goalzalez
Sounds like one of the "number players" to me. Don't think it's Diego Maradona.

5. Smoggy Hills
Many smoggy cities in the world. Most big cities in asia. Any city there that is cituated on hills? Hongkong is in an area with lots of hills. San Fransisco possibly?

6. Rocky Ravine
The Grand Canyon in Arizona? Both Las Vegas and Phoenix are relatively near to it. Don't know of any other famous ravine.

7. Whiskers McFish
Yeah sounds like catfish to me. A fake persona on the internet. No idea which city this would imply.

8. Guy Thorax
Man chest. Obvious clue for Manchester

9. Roy Cordu
Also Manchester apparently

10. Azure Meadow
Blue something. Some think it means sky blues, but sky and meadow are completely different things. Could just refer to the ocean or a big lake.

11. Arty Eightman
??

12. Thunder Poultry
Bang cock = Bangkok. Could be Phoenix bird.

13. Snoop Fiddlefaddle
Snoop dog?

14. Manny Mills
Also Manchster with the many mills?

15. Joaquin Fiat
Joaquin Fiat and Joaquin Phoenix sound the same except for the last syllable. Could refer to the car, but that is a european one with no apparent connection to Manchester. I don't know of any famous Joaquin other that Phoenix

16. Gottaby Bogus
Got to buy bogus.
Probably means a city known for shopping or for making poor quality things. Hongkong or Taiwan?

Sv: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Badge image
Oh apparently there is something called Hong Kong catfish.
Clarias fuscus in latin.
My guess is hongkong_manchster_phoenix

Re: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Also for the number must be a year of somehow else the combination are unlimited.
Or the names with number like 11 Eightman will be relative but combination also is a lot.

I don't know if the example is somehow a clue too.
syndey_tokyo_rio (cities are capitals also was olympic games and world cup hosts)
In news have a different example (roma_tokyo_sandiego) which i don't know if they have any relation with main sport events.

conclusion:
I think Manchester was the one of more logical answer at the moment.
Only thoughts about Manchester was Champion League holder and will be host the EURO 2028.

For Los Angeles (who have some good points) will be the hosted of Olympic games on 2028.

[suggestion for crew]
Every day give us one more clue

Azure meadow: maybe bluegrass, American music style.

Tokyo
Arty eightman - reference to 8 man Japanese anime
Diego Goalzalez - maybe reference to Maradonna’s goal in Tokyo in u20 or to him not travelling to Tokyo

diego oliveira is a striker from tokyo.

I've discovered that there was a group named Foggy Mountain Boys.... 5. Smoggy Hills, but I can't find any connections with a city.

Re: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Badge image
I think panboy are right lets focus on the missing parts:
1. 1. O. M. G. DaRush -> new york
2. Robby The Rancher -> The rangers -> new york with also rush hours
3. Twofold Tucker -> World Trade Center, sounds like a american name
13. Snoop Fiddlefaddle -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1uwKfbztVE new york

8. Guy Thorax manchester
9. Roy Cordu manchester
14. Manny Mills Manchester
5. Smoggy Hills Manchester

Remain 4 6 7 10 11 12 for Asia

Re: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Badge image
go to buy fakes -> seems to be asia city with a big market, maybe Bangkok
A city with a fish market, with a poor quality and fakes market, with nice landscape: maybe meadows or rocky ravine. It is also 12. Thunder Poultry
Bang cock = Bangkok.
I would go with the Bangkok for
- 12. Thunder Poultry
16. Gottaby Bogus
7. Whiskers McFish
?

To be fair, giving the complexity of this riddle and the amount of effort needed to solve it; maximum of a 100k Euro prize is a joke.

The prize is low because if one find it all players will get the money.

I don't know why it's the assumption that this names are only related to the football players.
Same names are also in the hockey section matches.

Re: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Badge image
I’m starting to come around to Bangkok. Looking beyond the obvious Thunder poultry.
It seems like catfish are associated with Bangkok so whiskers Mcfish works.
Maybe Gottaby bogus also works though it is a bit literal.
I’ve been trying to think of a reference for Rocky Ravine that works. Rambo -also by Stallone is set in Thailand. Is there a a way to make that link work?

Re: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Badge image
rocky ravine for new york so 1 OMG can be used for asia or is not a hint

Re: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Badge image
can be O.M.G DaRush the missing one for bangkok?

Sv: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Badge image
I think Twofold Tucker is tuktuk and for Bangkok

We have Guy Thorax for Man chest and thunder poultry for Bang kok
So one of the other maybe is something simulrar to the last city

Re: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

yes it can be

Shanghai ?
Azure Meadow - The name "Azure" evokes a sense of openness and vastness, reminiscent of the vast sky or ocean. Shanghai, as a major metropolis and financial center, is known for its expansive skyline and urban sprawl, making it a fitting association.

Twofold Tucker - The name "Twofold" suggests duality or multiplicity. Shanghai is often described as a city of contrasts, blending traditional Chinese culture with modern architecture and technology, thus embodying a dual or multiplicitous nature.

Joaquin Fiat - "Fiat" can be associated with innovation or progress, and Shanghai is renowned for its rapid development and technological advancements, particularly in areas like finance, technology, and infrastructure.

Snoop Fiddlefaddle - While the name doesn't have an immediate connection to Shanghai, we can associate it with the vibrant and diverse street life of the city. "Snoop" could imply exploration or curiosity, and Shanghai's bustling streets, markets, and neighborhoods offer endless opportunities for exploration and discovery.

It's SAD not having English users here trying to help us who are not used to think in English. In Argentina most of the users doesn't understand a Word in English.
I see people here that can't dissociate the Word Rocky from Stallone's character

What if the european city is not Manchester but the clues go to manchester in Houston and we are looking for houston with corduroy, guy thorax, robby the rancher and the fourth one twofold … fold texas holdem ?

The only option is to make possible options for each player and then make different combinations. It will be worse with numbers.

Oh I see the prize money goes down the longer this remains unsolved. We're getting 75k if it's solved today hahahaa

The only one goal from Maradona that stands above all the others is the one that was scored by the hand of God (See wikipedia: The hand of God). It happened at the WC 1986 in Mexico City.

Re: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Badge image
yes, also i know that what im about to say its hard to do, but i guess that if you want to improve the game, you need to do stuff that will be tough.

make the riddle in spanish, anotherone in english, another in chinese, etc etc.

you have LA that can translate the text, then do it that way

how tf im in argentina, india, brasil, etc etc., will know stuff geographically that are only on cities that i never went or knew?

i rather expend pt's on other stuff but on this, i don't get lberty of free matches

Re: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Mexico City is also a option for America but which are the other players for it?

Re: Anyone solved the easter riddle?

Nice try and nice idea but suggestion for the future.

1. One more clue every day.
2. At least get green any correct answer so need to found the other ones.

At the moment i think a lot of people get tired and waiting someone posted the correct answer. (included me)
