After a rather tough play, U21 Finland's Santeri Pursiainen got a free kick in the 6th minute. The audience was convinced that Jakub Kišš's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Wallenius was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jakub Kišš sped through U21 Finland's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jeremias Wallenius. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Jarmil Lupač managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Czech Republic's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarmil Lupač was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremias Wallenius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, U21 Czech Republic's Jaroslav Chrástek got control of the ball when Juuso Forss tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kaleva Tuomisaari charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesti Koistinen made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Ernesti Koistinen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jaroslav Chrástek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zdenek Linhart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 78th match minute, U21 Finland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaleva Tuomisaari to maneuver through the defense. U21 Czech Republic's Zdeněk Peterka was substituted for Jakub Lukáš. After 79 played minutes U21 Finland got a freekick which was hit by Kaleva Tuomisaari. It was beautiful to see U21 Czech Republic's Ilja Psota in action when he in the 80th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 92nd minute of the match Petr Jelen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeremias Wallenius skillfully saved the ball. Topi Marttila kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Jeremias Wallenius made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Jarmil Lupač sent off a good shot on target. U21 Czech Republic's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
