Gerson Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feridun Şerif, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Yiğitcan Yücesan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Gerson Brasil made a huge save. Igor Akinfeev came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Brazil's Manoel Jacinto. But to his dismay, Manoel Jacinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 28th minute, Manoel Jacinto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brazil fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Gerson Brasil was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Feridun Şerif capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Feridun Şerif really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Turkey made a substitution. Battal Doğanhan replaced Aydın Aydın. Brazil made a substitution. Durvalino Cordeiro replaced Davi da Silveira. Ogün Temizkanoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 67th minute Feridun Şerif shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Yiğitcan Yücesan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
