Romania were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manole Bernea took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Marcu Dany to score against Ubaldo Matildo Fillol in Uruguay's goal. 1-0 after 12 minutes. Romania's Remus Blajovan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rico Boreyta in the 16th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Rico Boreyta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remus Blajovan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikolas Moracia in the 27th minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Remus Blajovan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Romania's goalkeeper Remus Blajovan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Remus Blajovan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rico Boreyta in the 35th minute of the match. Remus Blajovan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Mercado in the 37th minute of play. The corner led Uruguay's Mikolas Moracia to fire away a dangerous shot which Remus Blajovan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Rico Boreyta came free, but Remus Blajovan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remus Blajovan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rico Boreyta, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. With a little luck, Uruguay's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol got control of the ball when Vasile Buligan tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vasile Buligan to strike the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Amador Megid got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Remus Blajovan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rico Boreyta came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Remus Blajovan could save by the left post. In the 92nd minute, Ştefan Suşu made a precise shot to the right of Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.
