Seating: 1184, VIP seats: 103) Matthias Nyström started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 8 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's goalkeeper Staffan Nykvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denis Baranger. U21 France were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after U21 Sweden's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Redouane Dardenne took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Redouane Dardenne got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Staffan Nykvist quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Hakim Rouyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Lustig in the 11th minute of the match. Nicholas Brody made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by U21 Sweden's Björn Benett. The supporters of U21 France booed when U21 Sweden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Reinfeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Redouane Dardenne from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got Staffan Nykvist's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. U21 France's Hakim Rouyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Lustig in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, one of U21 France:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for U21 France. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for U21 Sweden. Björn Benett stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hakim Rouyer. 0-1. After 31 played minutes U21 France got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Brody. U21 France's Hakim Rouyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthias Nyström in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of U21 Sweden booed when U21 France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Valette didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sten Lustig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half U21 Sweden were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sony Anderson made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, U21 Sweden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Benett to maneuver through the defense. U21 Sweden made a substitution. Viggo Boström replaced Robbie Red. After 61 minutes U21 France's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Björn Benett who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on U21 Sweden's corner Sten Lustig fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hakim Rouyer quite easily take care of the ball. U21 France made a substitution. Jolan Kadri replaced Redouane Dardenne. U21 Sweden's Edgar Bergman was substituted for Filiph Blomquist. After 68 minutes, Nicholas Brody mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 France and the U21 Sweden players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicholas Brody kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. U21 France's Blaise Bellet was substituted for Nicholas Brody. The supporters of U21 Sweden booed when U21 France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Brody didn't get a good kick on the ball. Staffan Nykvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sony Anderson, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. U21 France's Hakim Rouyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Lustig in the 72nd minute of play. Sten Lustig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the game, Blaise Bellet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 France's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Sweden the free kick. A collision led to U21 France getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Blaise Bellet hit a great ball. The supporters of U21 France booed when U21 Sweden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Reinfeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Staffan Nykvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sony Anderson's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, Sony Anderson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Staffan Nykvist. U21 Sweden's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sony Anderson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Sten Lustig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Hakim Rouyer made a huge save. In the 93rd match minute, U21 France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blaise Bellet to maneuver through the defense.
