In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Argentino's goalkeeper Raimundo Feliu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 10th minute Atlético Argentino were awarded a corner. Eufemio Yabbarov went to the cornerflag to take it. After some careless play in the ADM Taquaras defense, Luis Vázquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Moreno. The ADM Taquaras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Moreno should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josemir Lujambio in the 18th minute of play forced ADM Taquaras's goalkeeper Jeremias Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliver Bierhoff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimundo Feliu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Atlético Argentino's Meder Fabelo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Malcolm Westerberg in the 21 minute of the game. Oliver Bierhoff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimundo Feliu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Raimundo Feliu came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by ADM Taquaras's Oliver Bierhoff. But to his dismay, Oliver Bierhoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Malcolm Westerberg hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Luis Vázquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremias Moreno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 43rd minute of play forced Atlético Argentino's goalkeeper Raimundo Feliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonard Julin kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Oliver Bierhoff made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Leon Oinaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Feliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldo Arce hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Raimundo Feliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 60th minute of play. Raimundo Feliu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oliver Bierhoff went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Jeremias Moreno made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Luis Vázquez sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Áron Bódog in the 66th minute of play forced Atlético Argentino's goalkeeper Raimundo Feliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josemir Lujambio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Moreno having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Josemir Lujambio came free, but Jeremias Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremias Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josemir Lujambio in the 73rd minute of play. Jeremias Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josemir Lujambio, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 77th minute Oliver Bierhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Feliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute Vitor Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Vázquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Jeremias Moreno made a huge save. ADM Taquaras's Malcolm Westerberg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Atlético Argentino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 94th minute of play forced Atlético Argentino's goalkeeper Raimundo Feliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ADM Taquaras had won after a very even match.
