Júlio Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Torino SSA's goalkeeper Wilian Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Fernandes. The audience was convinced that Juan Brodel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Catarinense was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Wilian Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Fernandes in the 57th minute of play. If Juan Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Vasconcelos took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio Catarinense. Júlio Catarinense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Pedrão Alagoano's late challenge caught a REAL VASCO RIO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrão Alagoano helped the player get up and apologised. After 67 played minutes Torino SSA got a freekick which was hit by Pedrão Alagoano. Wilian Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Juan Brodel took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Júlio Catarinense to make any attempt to save it. 82 minutes into the game, Alfredo Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Wilian Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Torino SSA's Tony Catarinense was substituted for Délio Furtado. REAL VASCO RIO's Júlio Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Maciel in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Torino SSA booed when REAL VASCO RIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Torino SSA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
