When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Daniel Bezerra took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Gilvan Paraíba to make any attempt to save it. Dário Freitas scored 1-4 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elias Vieira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Freitas in the 26th minute of play. After 27 played minutes SAS got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Velasco. SAS's Elias Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Neves in the 29th minute of play. Elias Vieira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ian Queirós went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. A collision led to SAS getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Nildo Nunes hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute of the match Dida Teles sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elias Vieira skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Bitelon FC - SAF's Erasmo Ramalho got a free kick in the 47th minute. The SAS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bitelon FC - SAF were winning 1-5.

55 minutes into the match, Ian Queirós dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Elias Vieira, 1-6. Murillo Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Bitelon FC - SAF's Gilvan Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Bezerra in the 83rd minute of play. Elias Vieira made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Murillo Neves sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Bitelon FC - SAF's Elias Vieira threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Murillo Neves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Freitas in the 89th minute of play forced SAS's goalkeeper Elias Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SAS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 98th minute, when Dadá Vinhas scored to the left of an out of position Elias Vieira, making the score, 1-8.
