Anselmo Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's Anselmo Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 8th minute of play. Anselmo Furlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oliver Bierhoff went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Edgard de Lima's late challenge caught a Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard de Lima helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, ADM Taquaras's Edgard de Lima got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22ndth minute of the game Miguel Mazza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ADM Taquaras's Jeremias Moreno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Oliver Bierhoff notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's Anselmo Furlan. Anselmo Furlan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Isaltino Fonseca made in the 29th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gugu Saraiva. The audience was convinced that Oliver Bierhoff's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anselmo Furlan was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. If Wágner Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miguel Mazza to strike the kick off in the second half. Anselmo Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Bierhoff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Furlan came out of the goal and Malcolm Westerberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmo Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Áron Bódog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to ADM Taquaras getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Edgard de Lima hit a great ball. ADM Taquaras's Edgard de Lima quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Isaltino Fonseca, made in the 68th minute of the game. Anselmo Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 71st minute of play. Oliver Bierhoff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Furlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Aparecido in the 90th minute of play forced Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's goalkeeper Anselmo Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremias Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Augusto Fenomeno in the 95th minute of play.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ADM Taquaras fully deserved thier win.
